April 23rd: Happy Birthday Janessa

Janessa's birthday was yesterday the 22nd, but I just wanted to let everyone know how well she has been in a quick update. We haven't had any problems lately, after the ileostomy reversal everything has been pretty smooth, and we hope it continues to be. She was having a bit of hydration problems, so more hydration was added to the TPN to drop the BUN numbers(kidney numbers). Her output from both her g tube and ileostomy has been high, so we aren't able to increase her feeds at this time, hopefully these numbers will decrease so we can continue with our feeds, and get back to where we originally were before all the ileostomy problems she was having.

Today Janessa is having her birthday party! It should be exciting :) she was the star of the show yesterday, she got so many happy birthdays it was unbelievable, especially since we were told April of last year she wouldn't even make it to one year. We dyed Easter eggs last night, and we put a little one in a bowl for her, she loved it! I will post pictures here so everyone can see.

I never update too much because Janessa is doing so well, and never have too much to say, she has been standing better with her knee immobilizers which is a plus! We are hoping she will be walking by 18 months, so we will see!

She got the egg dye EVERYWHERE. It's still on her, I'm going to have a hard time getting that off today before her party!!

She loved to play around with the egg in the water, blue is her favorite color by the way :)
